This October half term there are plenty of events happening to keep the whole family entertained here in the Lake District.
If you’re looking for some inspiration, here are a few suggestions:
Halloween Experience at Brockhole
Brockhole is a popular family attraction situated on the shores of Windermere, and their Halloween events are always a hit. This year, there’s a whole host of spooky activities planned for all ages, including laser tag, axe throwing, graveyard golf and a haunted forest. The event usually sells out so pre booking is essential.
Halloween at the Railway – Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway

There will also be a witches trail quiz, and participants will be rewarded with a sweet treat upon completion. Running 23rd-27th October. Booking recommended.
Twilight Tales at Dove Cottage, Grasmere
Dove Cottage is the former home of poet William Wordsworth. During October half term, they host a special event called Twilight Tales, where children can listen to spooky stories by candlelight. Reccommedned for ages 3+

This year their spooktacular calendar of events will take place between the 21st-29th October and include a Halloween Family Festival, Scarecaster – including an immersive poltergeist experience (for the thrill seekers aged 18+) and an Owls by Twilight display.
