Enjoy lake-life on the shores of Coniston Water, just a ten-minute amble away on foot. Down at the lake, you will find a whole host of water-based activities throughout the year, including kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, and rowing.

If you’re looking to gain some altitude and admire the views from the top during your time here, the Coniston Fell Range is accessible from the front door and includes seven magnificent Wainwright summits (Coniston Old Man, Dow Crag, Swirl How, Brim Fell, Wetherlam, Great Carrs & Great Friar).

The tracks and trails of Grizedale Forest are accessible from the east side of the lake and provide a mountain biker's paradise!

Back in the village enjoy a plethora of cosy country pubs, independent shops, and inviting cafes, most of which happily accept canine companions!
