We have had a lovely stay in Damson cottage. The weather was glorious sunshine every day and chilly enough in the evening to light log fire to stay cosy. Visited Silecroft beach (lovely cafe), Wast water, Ravenglass & Eskdale steam trains and Coniston lake. Maps & guide books very useful, thank you!

"Such a lovely, well-presented cottage with all we needed. The shop across the road is charming and has a lovely selection of meat and sausages - yum! Scafell Pike was a challenge and we all enjoyed the Gondola on Coniston Water. The Boot Inn (Eskdale) was worth a visit and The Brown Cow just up the road was also good. Thank you for our much-needed break!"

"We loved our stay last year so decided to come back in 2024. We love the cottage and the shop opposite for its famous Cumberland Sausage and bacon. The Brown Cow Inn is great and convenient. The heritage railway at Ravenglass is a must see and Muncaster Castle is wonderful. The cottage is so cosy and has everything you need, surrounded by amazing scenery. We enjoyed lots of walks and days out."

"A wonderful cosy place in a very special spot, thank you. The local shop is so special, dad enjoyed the sausages! Some great walks to Stanley Ghyll Waterfall and up Black Combe in sunshine. We'd planned to go to The Brown Cow, but opted to stay in with the log burner and Cartmel sticky toffee pudding!"
